Our client was responsible for establishing a centralized learning and development
group that contributed directly to corporate objectives. Our client and a team of
program managers had their hands full with a major leadership development roll-out,
the implementation of a new learning management system, the development of business
process learning resources, executive committee meetings and face time with key constituents.
The team was hugely successful but had no time to promote their achievements throughout
the company.
The Solution
Nicole De Falco was brought in as an extension to the learning organization staff.
As a strategic resource, she contributed the following:
Wrote an article highlighting the team’s progress and achievements. This was published
in the company’s international employee newsletter.
Created the layout and wrote the content for a department newsletter that was distributed
in both English and French to all employees in the company’s North American operations.
Transformed 22 page minimally formatted reports detailing the impact of the leadership
training program on business results into seven or eight page reports that included
highly visual one-page executive summaries. The updated versions of the reports were
well received. Many senior managers used the executive summaries with their leadership
teams.
Designed and wrote the content for the department’s section of the company intranet.
Collaborated with my client on the writing of a chapter in a book showcasing the
group’s success.
Helped format and edit PowerPoint presentations. Reduced a 72 slide presentation
to five concise slides that spoke directly to the priorities of the company’s Executive
Committee.
